Flamstead Blacks v Haven Tigers

Luckily for us, our absent captain chose not to mention the  23-57  score when we played Haven Tigers before Christmas, so fresh from a Christmas break of no booze, healthy food and loads of exercise we bounced onto court.  Missing a GA Simone kindly offered to have a go, and with Jo playing her first game and Sarah standing in as shooter we were a well practiced team!

 Flamstead  Blacks didn’t have the best start going down 7-0 in the first 5 minutes (the turkey was having an effect!), the first quarter ended  4-16

 With a quick team change Flamstead went into the second quarter with Jo at GD and Lou at C (and she just about managed to run in the right direction!), and Simone scored a cracking goal!  7-23 

 The third quarter was highlighted by Jo’s Dancing on Ice impression – taking one for the team, there was blood but nothing too serious.  Ending  12 – 33 you could say the potential for victory was slipping away

  The final quarter Sarah gave herself a target of 7 goals which she achieved with ease, final score 19-46
